University of Utah Graduate School of Social Work research grant records 1971-1983

A Graduate School of Social Work offering a one year program was established at the University of Utah in 1937 and accredited in 1940. A second year program was added in 1949 and accredited in 1951. Currently the School offers doctoral and master's degrees. Arthur L. Beeley was the first dean, with Rex A. Skidmore, Edwin G. Brown, William F. Prokasy, and Eunice O. Shatz serving as dean during the period covered by these records. This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, budgets, and applications related to research grants and contracts received by faculty of the Graduate School of Social Work. A significant portion of the collection contains grant records of Georgia W. Snyder. Also included is one folder of material concerning an Occupational Program Consultation course offered in 1981-1982.
